Full Job Description: **$2,000 Sign-On Bonus** JOB STATUS: Full time (40 hours/week), 9.5 months per year RESPONSIBILITIES: Looks for opportunities and assists with the development and implementation of area recruitment plan. Promotes and supports the role that all staff plays in recruiting children and families. Establishes and maintains effective collaborative relationship with staff, counter parts and partners, such as local school districts and county collaborative groups. Participates in committees as assigned. Attends conferences, meetings and trainings as needed or requested. Responsible for completing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Keeps program manager informed of personnel successes and challenges. JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: • To know and follow the Agency Policies and Procedures, Head Start Program Service Plan, Head Start Act of 2007, Head Start Performance and Minnesota Statutes. • Monitor classroom and home-based quality including, but not limited to, CLASS observations, curriculum implementation and instructional strategies. • Provide coaching and mentoring to Early Head Start/Head Start Teaching and Home Visiting staff. • Support and model UCAP’S Behavioral Competencies. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) in Early Childhood Education or related field (as defined by the Head Start Act of 2007) plus minimum three years’ experience in providing professional development; effective August 1, 2017. CPR and First Aid certification. CLASS certification or willingness to obtain within one year. KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS: • Ability to develop and maintain individual and community partnerships. • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to train and provide technical assistance to on- and off-site staff. • Ability to plan, set goals, monitor implementation, and evaluate program activities. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Efficient working knowledge of computer systems and software programs. • Ability to oversee the delivery of services to children and families at assigned sites. • Reliable, regular attendance. • Must agree to a Satisfactory Background Study. • Must have satisfactory completion of medical exam and health screenings as requested per Head Start regulations.
